Art is a healing process

There are other ways to heal our bodies. Doing art is one of them!
Be a part of the ongoing project. The flags will be shown continuously, and as they grow in numbers our awareness of women's health will expand and influence one another for a better world.

#161 - How grateful I am for my two daughters.

Talking with other women has increased my knowledge of medical mis practice and unnecessary surgeries.

The Heart of a Woman

The women in my family have endometriosis, a condition in which cells that should be excreted during menstrual cycle are not, and instead implant along the uterine wall, grow and burst, causing extreme pain. I work in the field of cardiology. # 158

It is only about the size of a fist.

It has the ability to expand and contract to unimaginable sizes based on its normal size alone.

It is the sanctuary of a fetus.                # 157
My fear is that I won't be able to use my uterus. It's one of my dreams to become a mother, and it doesn't seem like it's going to come anytime soon. I'm also worried that I'm not healthy enough to sustain a 9-month pregnancy.
This project is certainly thought provoking. I like that it brings up different things in different women. I went into it not having a clue why I was participating or what theme might come up. I wonder how I can get to a place where I view my body differently in the next year.   #156
